Social Responsibility Throughout Our Supply Chain
At AD company, social responsibility is an important part of how we do business. It goes beyond codes of conduct and audit reports. We want to understand the conditions at our manufacturing partners, identify risks and contribute to improvements for the people involved in making our products.
That is why we combine independent social audits, our own factory visits and close dialogue with our suppliers.
Social Audits and amfori BSCI
We use amfori BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) as an important part of our work to monitor working conditions at our manufacturing partners.
amfori BSCI is an international social monitoring system based on, among other things, ILO labour standards and internationally recognised human rights principles.
Independent auditors assess areas such as working environments, working hours, wages and employment conditions through factory inspections, document reviews and interviews with employees.
These audits provide valuable insights into factory conditions and help us identify areas where improvements are needed. When non-compliances are identified, we work with our suppliers to follow up on the findings.
Our Own Factory Visits – Gaining a Deeper Understanding
In addition to external audits, we regularly visit our manufacturing partners. During these visits, we review working environments, procedures and audit findings, but above all, we create opportunities for direct dialogue.
By getting to know our suppliers and understanding their circumstances, we are better equipped to identify risks, discuss challenges and work together towards improvements.
Our Code of Conduct
Our Code of Conduct sets out the requirements we place on our suppliers, including:
- Prohibition of child labour and forced labour
- Respect for freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
- Non-discrimination and respect for human rights
- Wages and working hours in accordance with applicable regulations
- A safe and healthy working environment
- Environmental responsibility and anti-corruption measures
Our Code of Conduct provides an important foundation for our dialogue with suppliers and our ongoing monitoring of their practices.
Long-Term Relationships and Continuous Improvement
We recognise that social responsibility is an ongoing process. An audit provides a picture of conditions at a particular point in time, but continuous follow-up, dialogue and long-term relationships are essential to contributing to improvements over time.
Our ambition is to maintain good insight into how our products are manufactured, remain attentive to potential risks and actively work towards good working conditions throughout our supply chain.
